Samsung FP-T5094 50" 1080p plasma HDTV

Samsung's 94-Series of plasma HDTVs is adding something new to the crowded market of plasma televisions: wireless technology.

Equipped with 802.11n reaching a range of 300', the 50" Samsung model FP-T5094 can receive and display full 1080p HD video streamed wirelessly from another spot in your home.

It was expected Samsung would put out the 94-Series sets earlier in 2007, but Samsung explained it delayed the line in order to add 1080p functionality. Had Samsung simply released the sets capable of 720p, it could have hit the market sooner, but instead made us wait for the FP-T5094 and the rest of the 94-Series models so we could stream full 1080p high-def video. Once again, Samsung knows what we want.


As the FP-T5094 is wireless, the mess of cables that would normally plug into your set can now be collected and inserted into the included base station. This wireless home station features HDMI, component, and other inputs and can be conveniently located beside to your AV devices, allowing you to mount your FP-T5094 far above and away from the sources feeding it video.

And since this is a top-of-the-line Samsung plasma, you get much more than wireless with the FP-T5094. Samsung's unique FilterBright system and DNIe Digital Natural Image engine enable the set to deliver the vibrant picture clarity and wide spectrum of colors widely knows as strengths of Samsung televisions.



Summing up, it's apparent that the FP-T5094 is setting a new standard by which all the leading plasma manufacturers (Sony, Sharp, Toshiba and others) will be compared.
