Samsung FP-T5894W 58" 1080p plasma HDTV
Wireless is the big new feature added for Samsung's 94-Series of plasma HDTVs.
Featuring 802.11n with a range of 300 feet, the 58" Samsung FP-T5894 can play streaming 1080p video sent wirelessly from another location.
While these sets were anticipated sooner in the year, Samsung execs have stated they held out for 1080p compatibility. Had
they reigned in functionality to 720p, Samsung says it could have released the sets earlier, but held back on the FP-T5894 and its sister 94-Series models until they could deliver full 1080p of HD, which is what today's videophile demands.
Since the FP-T5894 is wireless, the typical mess of wires plugging into the back of a set can now be moved and better managed
by plugging into the included wireless home center. This base station includes HDMI, Component, and other inputs and can
be more conveniently located next to your AV gear, freeing you to mount your FP-T5894 up and away from the muck
of the devices feeding it.
Of course, you're getting a lot more than wireless with the FP-T5894 . Samsung's proprietary FilterBright and DNIe
(Digital Natural Image engine) technologies deliver the stunningly vibrant picture clarity and full spectrum of colors that
professional critics and consumers alike have praised Samsung for over the past several years.
It's clear with the FP-T5894 , Samsung has raised a new bar for the other leading plasma makers (Sony, Sharp, Toshiba and the like) to meet.
In comparison vs. plasma HDTVs from those manufacturers, the FP-T5894 is a television packed with the latest in technologies, with a price tag
to prove it.
The FP-T5894 seems well worthy of your consideration if you're in the market for a big-screen plasma and have ruled out
LCD and DLP sets, instead opting for the color accuracy, depth of black tones, and other benefits that go with plasma sets.
Make sure you round out your research by finding out what buyers of the FP-T5894 have to say about it. The set is brand new,
but keep checking for user reviews of the set at Amazon.com.
