Samsung LN-T4061F 40" 1080p LCD HDTV
The Samsung LN-T4061F would seem to be too good to be true. It offers virtually everything you could want in an HDTV: full 1080p hi-def resolution, a gorgeous
40" screen, an impressive 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and many more features.
While not as powerful as its more expensive big brother (the Samsung LN-T4065F), the LN-T4061F is still a solid HDTV worthy of your consideration. It boasts 8bit video processing that produces stunning visuals and Samsung's Digital Natural Image engine (DNIe) to deliver great contrast and white levels while reducing digital noise.
And we love LN-T4061F 's variety of input options: 3 HDMI (including one that is compatible with CEC signals), 2 Component video inputs, 2 S-Video and 2 AV inputs -- one each on the side and one on the rear.
The LN-T4061F 's 40" screen is a good size if you plan to be sitting roughly 10 to 12 feet away from the set, following widely accepted guidelines for viewing distances.
Video isn't the only thing the LN-T4061F does well. It also features SRS TruSurround XT technology to produce simulated 3D sound. Its concealed side speakers deliver great high and low end sound while not muddling dialog.
And if you're worried about LCD HDTV's reputation for poor viewing angles, take note that Samsung and other manufacturers (Sharp's Aquos line, Sony, etc.) have made great strides in this area, making virtually any seat in the room a great seat for seeing rich color and bright pictures.
